    Default LBR - Two

Inspired by the 'young' Jon Ashton with his resent posting of an LBR, I thought I might post one too.

Sadly not with a clean BKG as per his image, but I just like the light here. Nothing I could have done re the backdrop and even moving the vehicle wasn't an option, plus you run the risk of spooking the subject, so, unlike set-ups I had to make the best of it.

Thanks to those who viewed or especially commented on the previous image.

I agree, beautiful Light, I wish there was a cleaner background. I do like the sharp eye.

    Thanks for sharing.

Great image and beautiful light. The bird is so striking that the BG doesn't bother me, especially because it's OOF. Well done.

The light is certainly the eye-catcher here, Steve. Drop-dead gorgeous. As the background is mostly dark, I too, am not bothered by it. I especially love the subtlety of the colours that you've brought out in this. Bird has great pop and your signature stunning IQ. Nothing I'd change.

Hi Steve, love the light cast on the LBR, and you have brought out excellent sharpness and detail. The colours are spot on, and in turn, makes him pop against the darker BG.

Haven't you learnt there are no 'clean' BG's in Africa.

Only for Vultures or Pied KF's Stu .

This will be our 9th African tour and shortest, only two weeks this time and one where I will perhaps have to do some work whilst there, as I am sure I will get roped into helping other snappers. Wish you could have joined us.

Hey bud, who ever you will be helping will learn valuable lessons from you. Yep, one day hope to join you in the bush. We have of course joined each other over a few.
