    I love Black Skimmers and always open when posted. You captured a wonderful in flight image of one here John. Pretty light and good exposure on the difficult fine black and white feathers. I realize it is perspective but if it were mine I would be tempted to rotate it up left to make the ripples closer to level and while I am not a fan of cropping tight this has a lot of empty space.

    Love the light on the bird and that catchlight adds a lot.
    Exposure spot on.
    I think I would crop this a bit tighter with less space in front.

    I agree with John Whaley about loving black skimmers, and I have forever tried to get a shot as good as this. I always end up with large crops and completely understand that you can't crop any further. I can't decide whether I like John's suggestion to rotate; try it ans see what you think.

    A higher wing position would have made for a stronger image, but great light and skimming action.
