    Default A leopard's kingdom

    Attached Images Attached Images

A leopardess surveys her kingdom and ponders what challenges tomorrow will bring to her and family.
Above a pair of doves return to their kopje roost for the night, some may want their removal, but have left in as I feel it adds to the whole story.

    Central Serengeti- TZ

I return here again tomorrow for 3+ weeks to check on mum and her 2 cubs progress, they are now 5+ months old and bundles of energy. Until then

Marc, I like this so much. Would not add or remove anything, it is stunning. Beautiful scene well framed, lovely sunset colours, let's not forget the mood

Hope you find this mom and her cubs in good health and bring more images to share with us. A real pleasure to view this frame tonight, congratulations!!!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Absolutely beautiful Marc, the leopard and doves are ideally located and I like the hint of detail in the rocks and grasses.

    What a spectacular image Marc.
I love every single element, the flying birds, the silhouette of the leopard scanning the territory, the sunset, the trees and rocks and all. And I don't want to forget the rain in the distance.
Just a wonderful overview of Africa!

    Happy travels mate!

Hi Marc - You held this one back but I prefer it. The leopard looking into the scene makes it perfect. I too would not change a thing. The birds add yet another element. I like the slot glow on the rocks too. Have a great trip. I head out shortly too, back to RSA.

    TFS,
    Rachel

A stupendous image mate! Love it!!

I do note a bit of a halo around the kopje and leopard on my screen though?

Thanks Morkel, however it ain’t a halo, it’s part of the sunset glow as it’s present in the RAW file, happy to send once I return from Southern Serengeti in 3 weeks mate 😉
