This roller was scanning the ground for prey and seemed to be totally unconcerned about our presence.

Looks good Jon. Nice vibrant colors and good feather details. I don't mind the head angle as it tells the story of the bird hunting for food.

Lovely bird, inquisitive pose, only wish the perch was a bit more interesting. Love the puffed violet/lilac breast feathers. Well done Jon!

Hi Jon, great to have them in some clear BKG so they have prominence and standout. Colours look good, but for me it's a tad over sharp, highlighted on the finer feathers. OK this is 'perceptual' sharpening and taste compared to, is the RAW sharp, but just my take. Might have been better with the 5D, or even, what's coming...

Always love the color on these birds. Nice perch and background. The bird looks very focused.

The colours on the bird makes this one stand out against the BG and plain perch. Nice detail.

Hi Jonathan. It's great to see such a colourful bird and you've captured nice detail. It also looks a little over sharpened to me. TFS

Coming in a bit late on this... these are great birds, Jon, and this is an nice image, with the simple content and the bird's concentration on its next meal. Who couldn't love those colours. Only thing that struck me about this is that it looks a little washed out.
