Smoking pose. Upperwing detail is superb. Was the AF point on the bird's back? It looks as if the head is just a big soft.

Great dorsal view of this guy. I have never seen one so i enjoyed viewing.

However, I love seeing topside raptor images, so keep 'em coming!
The spread wings and flared tail look great. Agree the head is not tack sharp. Also I think the colors are a bit thin on the bird. I think the shot would benefit from adding a couple of points of black in levels and reducing the mid tones a couple points as well.

love the bank but the raptor is soft, especially the head which makes it tough to salvage
