Captured this image in the late afternoon this past February in Botswana. These four lingered a while longer having a long drink of water, as the rest of the pride moved slowly on. C&C welcome.

Really like how the one lion is not drinking and looking forward. The light looks nice.

Geoffrey I like the pose with three down and one looking like it's keeping watch, looks like strong light but well handled ,must admit nothing I would change,a very good image to view.

A powerful coalition of four lionesses - wonderful sighting! What makes this image for me is the one looking up while the others still busy quenching their thirst - well seen and captured:)

I like the space you allowed for the main subject to look into, and also the presence of the water which helps complete this image - nice framing Geoffrey.

Techs look great, SS and DoF spot-on. The light does seem harsh but you handled it very well.
Thank you so much for sharing, good work in the field and nicely processed back home, very well done

    Kind regards,

I like this a lot, especially for the one sitting up watching while the other three are busy quenching their thirst.
In an ideal scenario the light would have come from behind you, but I still like this image.

Hi Geoffrey - The sitting up lioness makes this image as others have said. Good choice on dof. Colors look good and you handled what looks like strong light well. I might burn a few of the brightest strands of grass if it were mine.

    Rachel

Love the 3 down one up pose, comp and framing here Geoffrey, harsh(ish) lighting well handled too.
