    Hi all,
Here's a recent capture of a Black-shouldered Kite landing with a rat. 7D Mkii, 100-400 lens at 400mm, manual exposure, 1/3200th sec. f5.6, iso 640. PP in acr and then Photoshop...crop, nr mainly on background, NIK colour efex pro50/50. Thanks for looking...feedback welcome as always trying to improve.

Nicely captured. I think light is a little harsh. You can try to reduce the highlights.

Head is also slightly turned away.

    Thanks for sharing

Hi Krishna. Thank you for the feedback. I did take down the highlights from the original raw file, although perhaps I could have done more on the bird's chest/wing underside.

I like the prey. I agree about the birds head being turned away. But this is what he gave you.

Nice Photo Paul, prey does add to the image. Too bad it wasn't in the right leg same as head angle. It is what we get and do the best with.

Thank you John/Kevin. This Kite is always on the same tree, so I'll keep going back for more!

You probably did all you could given the circumstances.
HA is what lets this down most other than light.
    Prey is a bonus.
Keep at it, as you said, if it goes back to the same tree, it's a matter of time only!
