Starting to find these guys in a a few local fields. This one came and landed on a post as I was setting up an electronic call. As luck would have it , a cloud had just moved in front of the sun and not long after it started to rain. This is a crop of about 60% of the original as I wasnt quite set up yet.
converted with DPP and then used photoshop for selective sharpening.

Nice image Stuart. Great detail in those fluffed feathers, particularly in the darks. Post is gnarly enough that it works.

The perch is a little to big for the small bird. But i still like it. Great background and good detail.
