...... NOW. This White Throated Swallow kept returning to this perch, and it was only a matter of time before I managed to capture what I had in mind. These guys are extremely fast flyers, so pre- focussing and firing away as you see them approaching helps, but some times they turn away at the last moment, and you end up with a lot of empty frames. Taken from a hide at a wetlands south of Johannesburg.

Ohh Yes. Very well done Stu. The perfect moment captured. Great flight pose and detail on the bird. I love the eye contact and the blue/red on the head immediately draws the attention. The BG colours enhance the image perfectly. I like your chosen crop.

    Good work.

Pose is perfect Stu. Beautiful soft feather details and a great background. I wish that the stick was not obscuring so much of the bird but nothing you could do about that here.

Well worth the wait, Stu, and all those empty frames. Great wing and tail spread and head-on approach. Lovely background. Thanks for sharing it.

Fantastic image Stu! Everything looks great. I especially like the symmetry in the wings. Beautiful underwing detail.

Well, this is very nice, Stu. Love the colours on the bird's head and the nicely handled tone and pin sharp detail on the bird. Background is beautiful and moment of capture couldn't be much better, with those spread wings and fanned tail. Wish it was mine.

Now that's my kind of frame Stu!! I love trying to time these incoming and take-off type shots. I could 't have done better myself. Great pose, killer colors and details and the green BG looks fantastic!! Well captured
