    Hi all,

A magpie in the snow taken out in MT a bit back while visiting my brother. Small crop, NR in photoshop, sharpened. I've been pretty busy with work / other projects lately so haven't gotten out as much as I was hoping for the spring birds unfortunately.

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

Nice detail on the bird. Like the composition here. I would have tried to clone out some of the sticks in the background.

Hi Alex, well exposed on both the blacks and whites, and I like the iridescence on the wing. I agree with John to remove the OOF branches.

Thanks both -- much appreciated. I went back and forth on cloning out the branches and felt they gave a sense of place, but I'll give it a shot cloning them out and see what I think. Thanks again,

I love the contrast and detail in this shot but agree about the branches, Alex. A nice touch of green on the wing as well.

  6. Thanks Alex Becker thanked for this post
