Another from my hometown. Laying on the beach as I watched this guy walk about the rocks at low tide. Eventually the bird moved closer to me where I managed to capture this image. The BG is seaweed covered rocks. I love these little birds, a pair return every year to nest on the beach.

Picture perfect! Great POV, light, HA and perch.
    IQ excellent.
For my taste, I would love a slightly looser crop but this works as well!

The bird gave you a perfect pose. Nice light as well. Like the rock perch.

A bit tight in the frame, but a great look at this pretty individual. I love the curved feet seemingly bearing the weight of the plover.

Hi Will, lovely low angle, and a great HA too. The feather detail shows up nicely, and good detail on those legs. Isn't it great when you are lying down, and a subject walks closer towards you, not aware of your presence.

Really cool perch and a nice BG.I like the post from the bird as well. I don't think I've ever seen this bird before so I could be off, but the whites appear to be a bit greyer than I would expect. Like that we can see both feet pretty clearly. TFS

Perfect pose here. I agree that a looser crop would be better but that may present a problem if you then introduce some ugly rocks or something in the background. Something seems just a tiny bit off with the feathers to me. I can't really place what it is. The legs and feet look perfectly sharp but the feathers don't seem that have the same level of sharpness or depth of color.

Thanks for commenting. Yes, the reason for the tight crop, is some of the rocks in the BG didn't look so good.

I concur with Gail, looser crop would work better for me for sure...
Love the shot though, good details, nicely separated from the BG.
    TFS Will.
