    Default Muscovy Duck

A male Muscovy duck has a face only a mother could love, but they do improve a little in a nice early morning shaft of light!

A little area under the bill clones due to a bright spot in the BG

Hi Mike, firstly the light certainly suits the monthly theme, but the detail overshadows ( pun intended ) the light hands down. Sharp where it counts, killer BG, and I do like the droplet on the beak. If anything, a touch more space below would work, but that's nick picking. Very well captured.

Nice light of course. Low angle is great. The detail on the duck is very good.

Details on the duck are very nice. For me too much of the bird is shadowed and it has too much of a yellow cast.

Terrific light and detail on the face.
My God, these guys are ugly and have a face only a mother could love! Oops-just realized you said the same thing on the OP-Great minds think alike!
    Great BG and POV.
I am ok with the yellows but do find the shadowed body a bit overwhelming. I tried a virtual crop from the LHS but it did not look nice so I would leave it as is.
    Nice frame,

Excellent details, and I love the low angle approach. I too am OK with the yellow cast, as it is warm very early light. I agree with the shadows though, but overall a pretty sweet frame.

Nice work Mike - yes, not a pretty bird but lovely light, great detail and excellent foreground and background. I'm not bothered by the shadowed back as it is out of focus and highlights the low angle, warm lighting which is what the shot is all about.
