    Default American Avocet in Breeding Plumage

    This image was taken at Bear River Migratory Refuge UT. This was taken on completely overcast day.




    Nikon D500, 500 f/4 +1.4x TCIII
    ISO 1250, f/5.6, 1/1250 sec
    Manual Mode, Matrix Metering, +2.3 EV


    Post processing:-
    Slightly Heavy Crop, Image Rotation
    Noise Reduction using Neat Image
    Cleaned up water for some spots.
    Auto Color 25% and Auto Constrast 25%

    Hi Krishna, well timed for the feeding behaviour, and I like the water stuck between the bill. Colours look spot on, and I like the texture of the ripples in the water.

    Really like the ripples in the water here. Nice detail and the breeding plumage is a plus. I could see a version with the bird lower in the frame.

    Looks good to me, nice feeding behaviour pose. I only wish for the body to be angled a bit more towards us.

    I would prefer a lower POV. Well done, great image though, nice and clean, good pose.
