Red-billed tropicbird
I was totally captivated by these birds on a recent Galapagos trip. They fly fast and it's a challenge to capture them in flight large enough in the frame to be useful. They have striking plumage on their upper sides and I'll post one of those later, but I like this one, and the white feathers have a kind of translucent look. They aren't translucent, it's just the light. Canon 7DII, Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L ISII at 400 mm; manual exposure, 1/5000 at f/6.3, ISO 400.
