    Default Three Amigos

Found a group of about 50 Elegant Terns on a isolated stretch of beach going thru their pre courting rituals. I kneeled down in the sand and waited for these 3 to separate from the group so they would be isolated in the frame. D5 600mm with 1.4 tc, 1/3200 sec, F5.6 at ISO 1250 Hand held/ Thanks always for your comments and criticism

I really like this one, Glenn. Nice to have three birds seemingly doing a Rockette-like dance, and it's cool that the one in front has a fish. I like the slightly pinkish cast in the left-most two birds as well. Their mullet hairdos make the image.

Hi Glenn, Love this; wonderfully captured, the sand and BG are spotless and the showcased terns are terrific, it leaves me wondering what happened next... The leader with the fish surely is strutting!

The action and the attitudes of these three birds is fantastic. Such swag among the three of them! The nice clean beach and background also really help. But the processing needs some work. The whites on the chest and throats of the 3 birds are too hot and without detail. The blacks of the head do not have much definition either. And the gray of the wings has a blue cast to it.

I love this! made me smile+++!
They really are a swaggering bunch.Or it could be the Pied Piper with his followers.
Love the low POV, the good DOF on all three and the fish in the mouth.
I agree with Isaac re: the whites. Would love to see a redo!

My favorite of the series for sure. Love the poses and the title! Ya, maybe try to reprocess it again but not to bad as is. Well done getting these guys before they left

Excellent shot love their positions, this would do well in competition. Certainly worth having another look at the raw file, this is really good.

This is a superb frame, gotta love the poses! I'd lose a little off the bottom of the frame, and consider some of the above advice. Without a doubt its worth a revisit as a couple of small subtle changes will really make this one sing

I agree with all the comments. Post processing needs to be checked again.

I do like the shot a whole.

Glenn, nice shot, love these guys, a little hot on the whites and some sensor dust but still very nice and fixable.
