The Loons have come back to Minnesota! This year they had a bit of ice to contend with, but they seemed to do fine. I was lucky to catch one in soft low light doing a wing flab with a fairly good head angle. they are never perfect haha. Canon 7Dll 100-400ll 1.4x lll 1/1250, f8, 520mm, 500iso

Nice pose on the bird. Like the low angle and the pano crop.

The capture, framing and pose are all superb. It would have been better to have seen this presented larger for techy advice

Hi Mike. thanks! What size do you recommend for posting? I am still confused by the new format. I tried posting one last month at maximum size, and it was way to big. thanks

Unfortunately there isn't a one size fits all category as there is such a variety of different resolution monitors in use at the moment. Personally I've found 1600px wide to be a good compromise, but thats only my opinion
