    Hi everyone,

Took this photo in my back yard, wondering if the background looks too strange (there is a chain link fence in the background), any other thoughts/ critiques welcome

    shot on a canon 7d mark II, 500mm f4 (I) f4.5 1/160th iso 1600

Background looks fine to me. The image looks a little blue though. Good detail on the bird.

Love these little birds, I might crop a little off the bottom to remove the dark spot in the middle of the perch. Like the colors

I really like the pose and the colorful in the image. But the shot has many issues. First and foremost it is not tack sharp. The shutter speed was not fast enough to freeze the action. The perch is too large and over powers the bird. Shooting at a higher f stop would have helped have more of the bird in the depth of field. The background is unique and interesting but I do not think it looks natural.
