    Hi All,

This image was taken today at Red Butte Garden Utah.

I do not know the name of the flower. I do like to know the same. If any has any info, please post the same.

Nice composition Krishna but take a look at your histogram, I would check the raw and check the highlights and darks. Also check the saturation/luminosity of yellows and oranges at raw stage, you will get more detail. When using that Nik 500 filter I often check the opacity of the layer and find 20%-40% is adequate, it could be that the filter has resulted in compression of the histogram.

    Hi Jonathan,

    Thank you for the comments.

I did reduce the opacity of the Nikon 50-50 Filter. I did not use it at 100%

Below are the histograms if the raw and final file.

The RAW file has distinct yellow cast, it was orange flower for sure

Everything looks fine to me. Do let me know if you feel something is off.

    Thanks
    Krishna

Krishna when I checked your histogram of the jpeg it was compressed at both ends. Having said that the one above looks ok.

Sharp where it needs to be. Nice detail. I could see cropping the left a little more to get rid of the small amount of black there.
