Another wicked shorebird flight image. Love those black axillaries (armpit feathers).
Group AF? Where was the point in the original capture? (You can see the points in View NX-i.

Fabulous Arash, IQ perfecto! Love everyone of those feathers....
This is what I expect from you Arash, a fine shot indeed. I think it is just about ideal. I like the composition and the processing.
Amazing shot. I love the placement of the subject and wing position.
Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful image. Love the details, pose, and background.
Hi Artie, Nikon view NX shows the focus mode however it does not show which focus point was locked at the time of the capture. what you see below is just an indication that Grp AF was used, the actual AF area is larger than what is shown below, and there are many points in the area.

Hi Ari, tack, tack sharp, and in lovely soft light. You have captured great feather detail with this flying pose.
Hope you are enjoying your new toys.
Lovely image, Arash. Techs spot on as always. I have been using Group AF Mode for birds in flight. The autofocus area seems to be about a third larger than the four points shown to outline the area. Also it grabs onto whatever is closest to the camera/sensor. Thank you for sharing.
