    Default Black-bellied Plover

Here's one I forgot about from last month. Shot through some nicely filtered end of day light.
I did have to do some spot-specific exposure one the whites and blacks. There might still be a hot
spot or two, but I think they're mostly contained. Crop is on the heavier side. Would be nice to have
a few more pixels worth of detail, but this is what it as this stage.

    Canon 500mm f/4 IS v1 + 1.4x III on EOS 5D Mark IV
1/3200 at f/5.6, ISO 640, handheld, Processed in LR with above notes.

This combo struggled mightily with focusing on the fast-flying shorebirds. The 400 IS DO II does much better with
the 1.4x III on the 5D4. I was happy to walk away with anything given the focusing struggles I experienced on this
    day.

    Cheers
    Dorian

Really nice Dorian. Great wing position and light. Image quality held up well. I would add a few points of black to the neutrals in selective color.

Wow! You did very well here! I have yet to get a BBP in flight image that I like.
Love the wing position and the excellent field identifying black armpits.
Whites look good on my monitor.Sharpness is good and IQ has held up despite the heavier crop.
    Well done!

Dorian, very nice shot of the plover, sure shows where it gets its name from.
nice light, no heavy shadows, wings up, and nice blue BG.

Sweet shot of a small bird, and a difficult one to nail in flight at that. Catchlight looks great and I like the BG. Pose and sharpness look good. TFS

love the light and the pose the clean blue BG and the exposure, this frame came out great despite the AF challenges. You did a great job here, it's not easy to pull this shot off with the 5D4.

Hi Dorian, great flight pose, sharp, and I like the overall exposure on this fellow. Pops nicely against the water BG. Well captured.
