Default Nikon D700 rumours for July 1ST

nothing mentioned here yet so here goes The net is a buzz with rumours of the July 1st announcment of 5 new nikon products.

It seems likely that there has been a leak concerning the D700.

Full frame, Same sensor as D3, smaller body , sub $3000 price range.

Now that would sure make things intresting if it turns out to be true (Dpreview has a whole raft of threads on it)

Its good to be a Nikon user :)

    James, good find! :D:D

Yes, new stuff allegedly on the way. Nikon is on a roll for sure. Now if I could just get to use my D3 I would be happy, maybe this weekend! :)

Both Canon and Nikon are moving on very fast and are working under a new an interesting approach to photography. I can´t wait to see on the street the new models (D400 and 40DII) with those interesting buttons.... (have a look at the images here http://dancl.wordpress.com/2008/06/2...orra-el-rumor/).
By the way, I miss an in-camera button of the kind "direct upload to BPN forums" or one of the kind "hey look at me!" to have an adequate head turn of the birds :D

I would pay extra for the head-turn button.

What about a time-stand-still button that you push and the bird stops flying allowing you time to compose and get the right light.
