    Default WT Sea eagle

Another shot early in the morning just after 7.00am, in Norway on a small, aluminium skiff out at sea. I personally love this image because of the way the tips of the wing feathers curl, reminds me of a "Demetors' from Harry Potter - don't ask !!!

My only wish was to have dialled in a bit more DoF ie f/8 or 9 as there was plenty of ISO to do so.

Arash, I cannot remember, nor can I find out, but the IS mode may have been switched to One by error, however in your experience with BIF, would Two have made a bigger difference in panning?

Thanks to those who viewed or especially commented on the previous image.

    Steve

Who cares about the DOF, this image is great! Incredible action and intensity! Curled feather as you note are wonderful. Could be a strong entry in this month's 'sweet light theme"!

Thank you Dorian, however Mod's are sadly exempt from ALL comp themes.

Steve I think you have pretty much nailed it! I like the low POV and the all important eye just couldn't be much better. Regarding Case setting I simply wouldn't worry if you are producing stuff like this there can't be much wrong in my book! I like the tones in the browns, there is expression there, the water at the base is rather nicely detailed too.

LOL, thanks Jon, I'm down to two as we worked our way through most and really found that one really nailed it. However I would be interest to hear fro Arash on the lens mode as you know. It was a great craic and a lovely departure from shooting (photographing) Wildlife.

Great frame. Love the pose on the bird and the fish is a plus. Sweet light as well.

I'll see what I can do Arash , but I'm looking at adding to Stu's Theme this month.

BTW Did you see my question in the intro and receive my email?

    Cheers

Hey Steve mode 2 is what I use all the time to compensate for motion perpendicular to panning, I had seen some strange results with mode 1 when Hand holding a big white including jumpy image in the finder. here I doubt it had any negative impact on your image though.
