    This image was taken at Yellowstone last weekend.

    This is the first time I was able to see these guy so close. Light was a bit harsh for my liking..

    I just missed the wing stretch but still I like the image.

    Nikon D500, 300 f/4 +1.4x TCIII
    ISO 640, f/5.6, 1/5000 sec

    Post processing:-

    Cropped from presentation, Raised shadows and reduced Highlights
    Removed second catchlight in the Eye
    Neat Image Noise Reduction

    They are beautiful birds and fun to watch. Nice control on the whites and I like the perch. I am wishing you had found a vantage point that was just
    a bit closer to eye level.

    Nice colors and perch, I feel a vertical crop would work much better, way to much negative space IMO.

    Yes, going vertical in-camera would have been great here, and I agree with the steep angle as well. Beautiful bird, sharp, neat to see the wing tip peeking out from behind.

    Super , try the vertical, nice perch and interesting pose, nice and sharp.

    It is swallow season again for sure. I don't mind the negative space here.

    Krishna, more room on the bottom and less on top if you have the room.

    the vatical framing is an improvement here, the issue here is the harsh light plus the perch that is too large for the swallow obstructing the view of the wing....
