Hi all. I'm happy with this one taken last Friday (my best Kite to date), but I'd welcome feedback as always. Canon 7D MK2/100-400 lens at 400mm, TV mode, f5.6, 1/1000th sec, ISO400. Cropped, noise reduction (mainly to the background) and a little contrast added. Cheers.

you got a nice look down from the kite and good details under the wings, the main issue here is the steep shooting angle and light coming from above which makes the eyes in those deep eye sockets Look dark from this angle. you could also tone down the top of the head where it is a bit hot.

Arash covered it nicely, and I agree. I like the wing feathers and patterns!

Hi Arash and Daniel. Thank you for the constructive feedback. At the location there were many Kites flying around. Unfortunately none of them came low enough to allow a good panning shot..I always had to look up. I actually don't mind the back lighting, but agree with the "hot" head, although I did tone it down...just not enough I guess. What do you mean regarding the steep shooting angle...I don't mind the underside view, but I agree regarding the eyes. Cheers.

Hi Paul, Just a few suggestion first you can dodge the area around the eyes to lighten them up there are several methods to do this in PS and LR also I would have not cropped it as tight just a bit more breathing room all around.

Hi Don. Thanks for the feedback. I know how to dodge in Photoshop...I'll re-edit and re-crop. Cheers.
