Female Osprey taking a break for dinner from egg sitting . Now that she is on eggs the male Osprey will do all the fishing until the beginning of August+-. He eats the head of the fish and then brings the rest to her and will do the same when the chicks hatch until they are big enough to eat on their own. Then he will bring back small whole live fish so they can learn to deal with a flopping fish. He will sit on the eggs until she is finished. 1/2 hour before sunset+-, 1/2500, f6.3, auto ISO 500, 500 f4 E + 1.4III, Nikon D850.

I keep seeing the local ospreys in my neck of the woods bringing back half eaten fish now i know why. Great light. Like the pose on the bird and the wing position is great.

love the light, shooting angle and details wish the perched osprey had not merged with the landing guy, I'd also clone out the branch touching the landing osprey's tail

Great light, and the wing position is just about perfect. That is a good looking nest, and appears to be at, or near, eye-level...I'm sure you will be making multiple visits as the brood ages!
