This Elegant Tern watched overhead as the Double-crested Cormorant chased its prey.
At the right moment the tern dove and stole the unlucky fish, The cormorant grabbed the tern and pulled it out
of the air and slammed it back into the water. The tern held on and got away with the prize.
This is 1 frame out of the sequence.

    Thanks for looking.

Great title and catch for both you and the tern, Tim. The positions of the birds and fish are beautifully situated in this great action capture. Well done.

Agreed - Great action shot and story to go with it. Perfect light angle and pose on the Tern in the image. The splashing water definitely adds.

Very nice website enjoyed viewing all those sequence frames. The gull and the octopus was awesome.
