Just one of a few birds that I was able to capture during my vacation in Marco Island. Had to crop about 30% because this was the longest lens I had with me at the time.

    Nikon D300
    Nikon 70-200 2.8 vr
    Focal length: 200mm
    Shutter speed: 1/800 sec
    Aperture: 5.6
    Exposure mode: Av
    Exposure compensation: +1
    Flash: Off
    Metering mode: Multi-segment
    ISO: 400

As always, I thank all for your comments and critiques.

Nicely done Oscar I like it, good wing position. I like the cloudy sky...too bad you did not have your 300mm...:D

    Hi Oscar,
I like the clouds and the light, it feels like it's just near the end of the day.

Very lovely calmness to this image. Sweet composition.
On my monitor the bird seems just a tad over-sharpened; there is a thin white line outlining the top of the wings that looks artificial.
Overall I think it is very nice. Well done

oscar, you can tone that halo down with lightly brushing some gaussian blur right around the edge of the wing. nice compo. wondering what a little warmth would do to this.
