Details look great. Perfect head angle. Really nice.

Although I wish the bill was cleaner, I do enjoy this portrait lots. Plenty sharp, well composed. Nice smooth BG.

Hi Alex, lovely portrait, great detail, nice sharpness, well exposed and nicely processed.

As you had the ISO then a tad more DoF for me so the tip of the bill was sharp, as the bill is slightly angled towards you so DoF will tail off.

Nice work and hope you have a few things sorted for the trip across the pond?

Thanks all -- greatly appreciated. Agree that going f/8 or more would have been good. Steve, still looking at things around the Scotland area for that leg, might do the hides or take a trip up to the Cairngorms with a friend if time allows. I think on the England front I'll aim to do a day or two at the Bempton cliffs and then 2-3 days at Farne Islands to get another crack at the Puffins.

If you know you will go to the Cairngorms give me a heads up ASAP, I'll give you someone to look up, depending on the timing you may also get a chance with the Ospreys, but that might be all booked out by now? Re Bempton again give me a heads up as I might be in the locality, but rule out July as I will be away.

Thanks Steve -- I'll try to find out about the Cairngorms from my friend Monday and then let you know as soon as I do. Bempton I think would be the second week of June, probably the first part of the week / weekend

OK, just drop me a line, weekends I tend to avoid especially if it's the 'sunny one' as it gets very busy!!!!
