    Default African Jacana in flight

We normally see these guys walking gently over Water Lillies as they have such large feet to keep their balance. I was pleased to have captured this guy in flight as it was more of a grab shot as he flew by without any warning. Taken in the Pilanesberg National Park where this shows there are more than just Kingfishers there. I decided to crop this with a slight pano to suit the flight pose.

A beauty Stu. And your chosen crop works well with the flight pose. Nice detail on the bird with lovely colours. The vegetation adds. Lovely coloured BG which shows the bird real good. Not bad for a grab shot

    Well done

Like the lily pads along the bottom here. Looks quite good for just a grab shot.

Hi Stu - This works quite well with a nice sleek line of the Jacana. I too like the inclusion of the lily pads for a bit of context. You controlled the whites quite well too. Nice one.

Well done for catching this one in a perfect position and against a perfect BG Stu! The clarity of a 2x TC on the 300mm f/2.8 will never cease to amaze me!

Love the streamlined look, those huge trailing feet, and the inclusion of the lily pads.

Excellent Stu, I can see another version with even less above.
