    Default "Swing Low" - Oystercatcher from Fort Myers, FL

    One from a lovely day on the beach several weeks ago. Thanks for taking a look.

    I like the light and the crashing wave. Details look nice. Bird is a Black Skimmer. Wish you didn't have those shadows on the wings. For these types of shots having the sun at your back is really important.

    Thanks for the ID Isaac. Yes, try to follow the light from behind rule most all the time but sometimes... well, you know. :)

    Hi Jay, I like the incoming pose with the full show of the outspread wings. The Skimmer pops nicely against the clean BG.

    The bird looks real good with that flight pose against the BG. Yes, better without the shadows, but, still a great looking frame.

    Well captured Jay, with focus right on the face---certainly not a shot I'd pass up b/c of sun position but the merits of the outcome when you can get everything aligned are worth the effort if possible............as long as you don't have to wade out over your head...
