    Default Barn Swallow peek-a-boo...

Here's one from Palo Alto, CA last spring.

This is wild bird that I photographed through a slat in a wooden dock (background is water). As soon as I saw the scene,
I knew I could have some fun with the crop. I was nearly at the MFD of this lens when this was captured; hence f/11.

Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS II on EOS 7D Mark II
    1/800 at f/11, ISO 800, handheld
Processed in Lightroom with standard sliders. I did remove
a distracting second catchlight in the eye.

Dorian, sharp, nice colors, good HA and whimsical crop.

Looks good. Nice details and I really like the look. Wish the back of the head had more light hitting it.

Hi Dorian, great HA, and the light has brought out the blue iridescence on his head nicely. Great eye. I could see a version with a little more of him looking into the frame.

Beautiful colours. Lovely HA and nice detail which makes this one pop real good against the BG. Well done.

At first i did not like the crop. But after looking at this a few times i like it. Nice detail on the bird. The blue background contrast well with the bird.
