Hadn't been able to get out for several weeks. New batch of Egrets gave me cause. Spring warmth and new rain pumped up the color vegetation around a local lake. As I like shooting Egret and breeding is underway sure more whites to follow. Thanks for looking.

That is a beautiful Great Egret! I'm normally not a fan of flat-ish wing positions but it works for me here. Interesting to see the lower back breeding plumes trailing below the tail feathers. The background, although spectacular in colour, is a bit too blotchy in the top half IMO. But still a very striking image that I enjoyed viewing.

Wish the birds head was turned more towards you. The Light looks very nice here.

Great display of flared feather detail Jay for a spread wing position and I like the way the bulges of muscle appear beneath the feathers--almost as if sculptured..

I like the way the bird stands out against that background and the bird looks nice and sharp. The image is over saturated and your colors are all off. The greens and oranges are too strong in the background. There is too much yellow in the whites of the bird, the shadow on the back of the head is too blue and the plumes are too orange. The head facing away is not ideal either. Also, what are all of the circles in the orange on the top left of the frame? Is that just odd looking bokeh?
