The Gannets are returning to Bempton Cliffs for the season now, so in preparation, here's one from a previous year

Awesome pose, background and the bit of greenery in the beak and lower corner add. Great details and such an interesting eye. The wind blowing the feathers on the head is pretty cool. Looking forward to more Gannets from this season. TFS

The combination of colors is luscious!

Really like the colors, pose and details. The leaves in the beak are so cool. I'm just not crazy about the out of focus greenery in the lower right corner. Was there are way to get to your left or would that have taken you off of a cliff?

One of the birds I most hope to shoot before I kick the bucket. Love the detail and colors. For some reason the soft bottom right edge butting up to the well defined grass bugs me but that's it.

Mike that is superb! The colours are spot on, it is tempting to increase saturation but I think you did right here. I'll be going to the Farnes again, but you have made me think an early trip to Bempton isn't a bad idea.

Good image Mike. I like the plucked vegetation, as well as the windswept head feathers.

Hi Mike, excellent exposure and the finer plumage shows up well. Good look back pose showing off his 'gift' and I do like the wind blowing at the back of his head.
