    Neat looking bird here. Like the vegetation in the foreground. The composition is nice.

    It is a neat looking bird I have never seen before so thanks for sharing. I would remove most of the oof vegetation in the water as I don't think it adds and my eye is drawn to it.

    Hi Jon, you managed a good angled pose to show off both spurs. Typical enviroment around the edge of any dam, so I would leave as is.

    FYI. This is a White Crowned Lapwing. The word Plover was renamed as Lapwings in SA. The Spur Winged Lapwing is not seen in our parts of SA at all.

    Stu thanks very much, the bird you mention isn't even in my Kruger book! I have a crowned lapwing but that has red legs, I never knew there were so many different species.
