    This was taken a few weeks ago at Wakodahatchee. We have been fortunate the last couple of years to have had them stay in our area through the summer months and some even had little ones.

    Nikon D3
    Nikon 200 to 400mm F4
    ISO 400
    1/8000, F4

    Beautiful bird, light and wing position. Do you have frames taken a few seconds earlier, too? I might brighten the shadows a bit.

    Impressive exposure control to get some detail on both the blacks and whites and not totally blow out the sky. I'd be tempted to warm up the sky a bit by adding a little magenta and deepening the toning a bit for effect.

    I will agree with Axel relative to the shadow areas for once...just a hair of a tweak perhaps?
