I like both of your captures of this doe, John. Love the snow building up on her and the falling snow around. Great you were able to keep the snow clear of her eyes. Of course the tongue sends this one over the top.

Hi John - Like the vertical presentation a lot here. If it were mine I would probably tame the white streak rising up from the head.

This is a beauty John I don't think I would change much at all. I was wondering if a little detail could be got from the peripheral dark fur on the ears? Those big eyes are so seductive I just have to go back and have another peep!

This is a fantastic image for me John,it's wicked mate!! I adore falling snow in an image I get so few chances ,but it adds so much, couple in a sticking out tongue, those stunning dark pools of eyes, and those amazing wolly ears. Plus your framing on the vert not cropped

Great work mate an absolute killer of a deer portrait, well done you!

A very cool (literally) image John. That tongue adds so much and the details are very nice.

I like the timing here John and with the falling snow it adds atmosphere.

As it's such a close up, you need more detail and definition in the tongue and the eyes appear to have been lightened I would say, to the same level. I would expect one to be slightly darker with some shade? Maybe adding a little minus exposure may help on the lower third?

The bright white 'streak' is distracting and where it falls is distracting sadly. Personally I would remove it if your ethics allow John, although I would be interested to see how it looks being toned down which would avoid the manipulation.

I love this one John, the expression and the snowflakes have combined well. The aforementioned white line is an unfortunate pain - cloning will be difficult with the snowflakes and the BG, but toning it down would be worth a go

Hi John, based on both Mike & Rachels feedback about the 'white stripe', I think it would be beneficial if either could do a repost, as toning down the area is less of a manipulation and perhaps helpful for you in the future, as often there are elements in some of your posting that could benefit in the future.
