    Default Boat-tailed Grackle (m)

I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. When walking out, back to the car, this bird landed on a small Bald Cypress on the side of the trail. I got off a couple of clicks before it took flight. This image the bird was buffeted by a strong breeze and used it wings to maintain balance. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Interesting side note... in Florida the Boat-tailed Grackles have brown eyes, on the rest of the east coast they have yellow eyes.

Nice detail here. Really like the shiny look of the feathers. Nice composition.

Lovely shot good exposure, I think the colour temp is a little cool I sense a blue cast. I think it is most readily seen in the bill.

Great pose and a cool perch. I also think it could be warmed up a bit. Is the eye really that light on the florida grackles? Pretty cool. The slightly open beak is great. TFS
