    Hi all,

A wood duck portrait taken locally this weekend. It was pretty overcast hence slower than I would like shutter speed. Small crop, NR in photoshop, sharpened.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 300 f/4 VR
    Specs: 1/800 ISO 2500 f/4

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

Nice portrait Alex. Details look good considering the light and I like the tones of the water. Works very well with the bird. Is this one of the PA birds?

Hey Alex - it looks beautifully sharp and I love the perspective. Are you in the water for this one or laying on the bank? The colors are great especially with the overcast conditions.

Great love angle. Nice detail on the bird. Would love to get a few frames of these guys.

Thanks all -- appreciate it. Noel, I was laying on the bank for this. Isaac -- this was in PA, at the Wissahickon. It's funny, I used to go there as a little kid with my grandpa and my dog but hadn't been there in probably 15 years at this point so it was really fun to go back.
