    Default Twofer...

Out to Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida yesterday morning. I found a pool of water where Snowy Egrets were actively feeding. The birds would make passes across the water dragging their feet snatching fish on most passes. This bird caught two. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Talk about timing. Great pose on the bird and the fish are a bonus. Nice light and a good composition here.

Nice timing Joe--cool action that you captured here. I like the detail in the whites of the underwing. See ya round the B.

Yes, excellent timing on this Joe. Thanks for the story also as I didn't know egrets hunted like that. Must watch for it with our local species here. Detail looks very good on the bird. I don't know how these look in real life but the bird looks a touch yellow to me but overall handling of tones on the white plumage looks very good. I think this could also benefit from some clockwise rotation, even if it was shot level.

Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting, very much appreciated. I wish I could take credit for the timing of the capture but in truth when a bird begins its path across the water once focus is locked it is just spray and pray exploring what has been captured later at home.
