Nicely captured in habitat, Jonathan. Like both their poses with a glance at you, but relaxed. Good inclusion of the termite mound. I might crop a bit off the top.

Thanks Geoffrey I did wonder about the sky - not good is it? I toned it down at raw stage, but as you indicate it doesn't really do the image any favours.

Hi Jon - I like nyala and we don't see a lot of them posted. You captured them in a lush environment. The image looks a little flat to me. I'm guessing from the ISO that it was either a bit dark already or very overcast. There's also a bit of blue/cyan cast to the whites. Look at the stripes. I think it is worth revisiting.

I think you are right Rachel, I did check CB but obviously not too well, I introduced a few variables , I'll take em out!

Hi Jon, glad you got to see these as they are great to photograph with lots of character in their make up.

There's also a bit of blue/cyan cast to the whites.

As discussed this morning Jon, but you may also find that the Tint also needs adjusting.

The sky is a bit unfortunate likewise the termite mound which catches my eye, but not a lot you could do. Would have been nice if the RH beast has it's head more to you and the ear not down, more alert, but I like the swish of the tail. Appears you were quite close, good for you.

I doubt I would Jon, as your focus is on framing/shooting.

Jon the repost just jumps out a little more,do like the swish on the tail on these magnificent beasts,ok with the termite mound it all looks nice and natural to me.

Coming in late and not much to add but the OP looks better to me tonally. The RP looks quite dim. Maybe a bump in the overall brightness?

I agree Glen a bit dim but it was late afternoon very cloudy and about to rain.

So you've been to Lake Panic too, how lovely I just got an invitation to Kruger Park for later this month, hmmm...very tempted to say yes

Beautiful young Nyala bulls in superb condition. This is well framed and I love the lush vegetation and surroundings. What size lens were you using at the time?

Colour casts nicely dealt with in the RP. I do understand the weather/lighting conditions, just feel that a slightly warmer, or rather vibrant look would suit this image. Maybe worth looking at the vegetation again, should be various shades of green, looks a tad flat?

Jon, I just promised myself that if I go to Kruger I will take photographs of EVERYTHING Ashamed I do not have any Nyala or Impala images lately, and I drive past them every week-end. Same goes with giraffe and zebra, warthogs, etc.
