    Hi Eric,

I really like the shape created by the sweep of the wings. Nice light and details on the feathers.
Perhaps you could leave a little more space all round, but that is just a personal preference.

Was this shot in Poland with Marcin?

    Best wishes, Gerald

Fabulous flight pose and head turn. Bird pops well against that BG, although I would try some more contrast on the lighter parts of the bird on top. I think this would add even more separation with the BG. I like your chosen crop, it shows the bird well. Great feather detail.

Well done Eric, very nice image.

PS I think it would look even more impressive if it was posted at a larger size.

Plenty to like here Eric. Great wing position, pose and head angle. Beautiful detail and tonal range on the bird and great separation from the background. Composition works well for me too. Hard to imagine how you could do much better than this.

I love the shape of the wings and great feather detail. The head angle with it looking almost towards us is nice and the good OOF background finishes it off nicely. Brilliant image Eric.

Hello to all and thank you very much for all of your opinions and hints..

@Gerald: Yes it was... we booked the last days in February, only 5 Sea-Eagles stayed in this area.

we were there with 4 photofriends. It was a great time and awesome
but it was also really cold: minus 21° Celsius (about -6° Fahrenheit) at 4.30 o`clock in the morning..
