    I captured this image yesterday at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED image captured at 400mm
    1/800 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +2/3 ISO 1800, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop CC 2018, work on the eye, removed a twig from the background

    Beautiful capture, Joe. These creatures are so photogenic and you've shown the feather patterns nicely. Like his pose and the lovely shade of green in the BG as well.

    Hi Joe, what a great angled pose, and I like the 'bleached' plumage around his head. Excellent exposure on the darker plumage, and love that red eye.

    I love the hairdo, pose, BG. Good job on the black plumage. The ruby eye does have a great colour, but I would darken the pupil, and the small black arc around it as well. Perhaps also another round of sharpening on the feathers from the neck down (more dof would have been good here). Comp is good and well balanced.
