    Default Racoon (reflecting)

An image from last year, figured I'd break it out of the archives.

    Nikon D200 ~ NIkkor 300mm F/2.8
    ISO 400 ~ F/2.8 ~ 1/500 sec

    Hey Mike,
Look/pose/reflection look very good. Don't know what you have going on on the RH side of the Racoon........almost looks like a SH halo.......but that would go all around. Definitely a tone down/correction on that......and you've got a winner!

I like the setting and reflection. Another vote for more contrast.

Love the looks. I would like some more contrast and work around the eyes.

Very nice composition, Mike. It could use a bit more punch as mentioned.

Well done with a very good reflection. Image just looks a little flat a little boost in contrast and saturation would fix it right up...

Nice one Mike. I like the angle of the reflection being a continuation of the log. I see the "halo" Roman referred to but noticed it because of the break in the soft green hue of the BG more than anything else.

I love these little fellows...I've only seen them during the night, so I'd love to have something like this in my files. I agree with all comments about the contrast.

Really cool photograph, Mike. The look and pose and reflection all make it. I agree on the added punch, but that's a simple matter with a well exposed image in nice light like this one, eh?

Thanks bud! I agree with the added contrast and a bit of selective facial sharpening that the image will be improved. I appreciate all the great feedback guys! :)

One has to love these critters, they are a hoot to watch. Good shot, lice location. I have to agree with the previous comments, but it's still a nice image and brings back fond memories.
