One more high-key frame from the Okavango. Shot HH from a makoro, which I know contributed to the steep angle. Removed a few branches.

Hi Bill, great look back pose, and with it comes the view of that awesome beak. The light didnt look to be kind here, as their colours are really nice, but the high key works well. I hope you got to hear his unmistakable call.

This hasn't suffered much at all from the shooting angle and I really like the hint of tone in the background, Bill. It's often hard to deal with skies like that but think you've nailed it. Colour, tone (esp the whites) and detail on the bird are superb and lovely perch. Great regal pose as well. Wish I'd come away with a shot like this.

Hi Bill - This works quite well as a high key image. Nice pose and comp. Shooting from a makoro can't be easy so well done.

Excellent for the theme, Bill. I like the separation of the white feathers from the BG. Nice head turn and neat perch.

Thank you all. Yes, Stu, the light was unhelpful here; these bird do have rich coloration and this doesn't show it to advantage. And yes, we had lots of opportunities to hear them calling.
