    This is picture perfect, John! Nice eye contact, beautiful & sharp blue feathers complemented well by the soft BG colors.

    This is lovely. Perfect pose, and the snow and nice perch contribute greatly. Only thing I might consider is a very slight darkening of the pupil. Well captured.

    Hi John, love this pose with the angled tail, and I really like the various blues on this fellow. The falling snow adds to the overall image.

    Very nice, John. Very clean for 2000 ISO also. Love the blue agains all that white! Thanks for sharing as always.

    John this is really a beautiful photo. Great pose, perch and details. When you don't have the warm tones of warm sunlight then the photos always look a bit thin. You have to account for that in post. The blues of Blue Jays are deeper and darker and a minor adjustment of the black and gray point will really make the bird come to life. Also I would tone down the whitest whites of the undertail coverts and the secondaries.

    Really lovely work, John. Great background, the falling snow, great perch, nice pose and wonderful detail and colour. So much to like here.
