Another image from our Costa Rica trip, this is a female Curassow which I think is the better looking of the species unlike most birds, the male is all black. Nikon D850, 600mm, F4.0, ISO 1250 at 1/160 sec, shot from tripod. Thanks always for your critics and comments

This is great Glenn. Really nice photo of this beautiful female Great Curassow. Love the perch, the separation from the background and the excellent head angle. You have great balance of the bird and the perch and it's funny but somehow this bird looks small in this photo when in reality they are the turkeys of the jungle and are huge birds. I think you can do exactly what I explained in the other photo to really make the beautiful tones of this bird come out. Only minor adjustments needed make it really stand out. Looks like you guys had a really fantastic trip. Very happy for you.

Wow, what a bird, Glenn. I love the detail, especially around the head. Great pose and perch against a great background. Very nice indeed. Can't wait to see it with a few tweaks as suggested by Isaac if you can get to that.

Very cool looking bird. Pose and perch look good as well as the background.

Love it! The crest is impressive, is it always up or do they raise/lower it? Well balanced comp, great perch and beautiful BG.

This is a stranger down here in my part of the world but what an interesting bird! Love the detail and the browns are complemented nicely by the soft green BG.

Love Costa Rica for shooting and you've posted some great images from your trip. Congrats. Like the bkg colors and slight banding and the detail on this showy bird are nicely captured. Keep showing what you got down there. Good stuff!

Hi Glenn, incredible detail and colours on this bird, and I remember your previous post of this bird. Nicely perched/posed in the open, sharp, and we have a great view of her feet. I like the angled perch with the single strand of foliage hanging off. Killer BG too.

Very sharp with good eye contact. Always a plus to get these birds off the ground on a perch. I like the view of the feet here.
