    Default incoming shortie...

This was my first opportunity to photograph SEO's in good light and what an exciting afternoon! With every spotting, there was a never ending wish for that owl to fly closer, but that was not meant to be. I used my 2.0x (teleconverter) because I had great light... Certainly it could be sharper overall, but this was the best I could do, for now...

Very nice banking pose in great light. I went for them so many times this year and never got one even remotely close. Nice that you can see both eyes. As you mention, the bird is not tack sharp. But it is a great experience seeing these guys flying like bats all over the place. Hopefully you will have better luck next time. Where did you go for them?

Agree with your self critique still nice flight pose. Really like that two toned background.

cool pose, but the owl is quite soft and half shaded face isn't helping either. Hopefully you can get better shots next time

This is a good starting point but leaves you room for improvement. Pose and soft BG are great. I've never managed anything
if this species so I feel your desire to get closer!
