The whites against the dark BG is a perfect combo Bill! Nice sharp detail & perfect composition too!

BTW I have not seen a lot of D500 shots yet and I must say if you have not softened the BG then I'm highly impressed with its absolute lack of noise at ISO 2000!

Hi Bill, I like the pose with the raised crest, and well exposed on the whites. We have a great view of the feet, and the Egret pops nicely against the darker BG.

Killer BG, which shows the bird at its best. The whites are looking good and I love the peach colours on the crest. Nice pose. I like your chosen crop.

    Well done Bill

Good one, Bill. The raised crest, fine back and breast feathers look great against the dark BG. Whites look spot on.

We often talk about front lighting but I like this highlight running up the back. Nice setting and breeding plumage a plus. Thanks.
