Wow Mike- Only you can take a very ordinary scene and make it beautiful!
The breaking wave in the BG and the low POV make this image special.
Love the various shades of whiteand grey and the detail in the white plumage.
    Well done,
    Gail

I like this. I don't think this is an ordinary scene at all. You captured great action with splashing from a strike while the bird is running in the water with crashing waves. That is about as good as it gets. To me that is what bird photography is all about.

Looking good Mike. Love the whites and the POV. The BG makes it look so natural. Great DOF, f/4 worked really well here. Great image.. Get it printed

    Well done

What a gorgeous shot. You took a white-on-white-on white canvas and produced all kinds of action, interest and detail. Sweet capture of this Snowy Egret.

One of the best I've seen Mike. I like everything about this and such a wonderful execution of high Key. As for the details, the whites on the bird are beautiful. Love the POV. Love the splashes and love the wavy business in the background. Rounded off with a good composition. Top work.

This is a wonderfully moody shoot with the wide crop and the copious bokeh. Exposure is spot on as others have noted. Splash is just the icing
    on the cake.

Hi Mike, excellent low perspective, and love the flying water after having dipped his beak in the water hunting fish. I like the various hues of white - an great image to suit the theme.

Thanks Bill, and I appreciate the ID. I thought it was a little Egret but after you mentioned it I looked into the subtle differences. Every day's a school day!

I like the water drops and the BG with eaves, you depicted the environment very nicely. Good exposure too
