This one does not have the magical early morning light iof my previous post, but I still like this one better. Quite a beautiful bird that I am glad to have seen recently.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF, lightened the eye to our right and the area around it to match the left.

You're killing me with these! I should have just taken the drive I agree this one is better. Lower angle and a great stare. Background is really nice.

Way to go Dan, no shadows at all, just wonderful work and such a clean perch and BG, big thumbs up!

What I like best about this is how the owl is sharp from tip of tail to top of head!
Great eye level view and IQ.
    A beautiful frame Daniel,

No nits from me at all Dan, although this doesn't have the golden light, the shooting angle more than makes up for out IMHO. A great stare that only Owls can give us, perfect details throughout

This is a beautiful shot of one of my most wanted birds. Seen a few birding but not close enough to shoot.
Clean BG and stare make this shot. Nice work, Daniel.

Very nice Daniel . I really like this one with the direct stare. Always looks great when an owl looks right at you. Details look nice also but I do find the image just a little thin but that's an easy fix. Great opportunity you got there. Well done

Very nice indeed, lovely clean well detailed image. I can see what David is eluding to, having said that when I loaded the image into PS it does look richer.
